First day of summer! Or I guess I should say… first day of NO school.

I did go to work this morning, but only for about an hour. Then I came home and took a nap because last night’s sleep was terrible. Anthony didn’t come to bed until 2:30 a.m., and of course he woke me up when he came in.

I am NOT kidding when I say I was outside putting chlorine and shock into the pool at 3 a.m. I just could not lay in bed awake any longer.

I had plans to have friends over to swim tomorrow, but it’s supposed to rain all day, so I moved it to another day. Funny enough, when I was outside doing the pool chemicals at 3 in the morning, I had no idea bad weather was coming. It wasn’t until I got to my 5:30 a.m. workout class that my instructor told us how bad the storm was supposed to be.

When I woke up from my nap, the kids were hungry, so we went and got protein bowls from Chipotle. We ate there, and when we got home I basically told the kids they HAD to swim because it officially felt like summer.

While they swam, I did some weights in the pool. My shoulders have been bothering me really badly, and I wanted to see how they would feel underwater. I still do my full-body weight class three days a week, but I may start adding pool workouts too and try doubling up a little.

At one point Charlotte and Will got into a fight in the pool that left Charlotte crying. Honestly, I think she may be getting close to starting her period because I truly have no other explanation for the level of emotions happening over there.

I was able to write a few journal posts, and now I’m laying out on the lounge chair watching Will swim.

I seriously cannot believe it’s already almost 5 p.m. I feel like I got absolutely nothing done today.

But then again… maybe I did.

Sam got called back for a second interview tomorrow, so I promised I would take him shopping for a new shirt. I also desperately need new workout shoes because the heels of my feet have really started bothering me again.

I also called the city today about the two dead trees in our front yard and finally started the process of getting them removed. I have no idea how long that process takes, but at least it’s started.

So I guess I did accomplish a few things today.

Just not a ton.
