This world is getting crazier and crazier every day.
This morning Anthony went fishing for a little while, and when he got home we drove to Lowe’s because his mom heard they were hiring. We figured we would go put in some applications… but unfortunately they aren’t hiring at this location right now. Huge bummer.
While we were there, we also tried to find more tile so we could finish a few things around the house. Of course, they no longer sell the tile we already have and are short on. Story of our life lately.
The craziest part though? We actually had to wait in line just to get INTO the store.
After our unsuccessful trip, we came home and played a few rounds of Scrabble with the kids. They got pretty wild and crazy after being cooped up inside, so we decided to head out to Lime Ridge for a family walk. Honestly, it felt really good just getting outside together for a little while.
Now we’re home again, sitting on the couch watching TV and honestly just feeling a little defeated.
Today I listened to a few podcasts about Joseph Smith History, along with Elder Bednar’s talk “If Ye Had Known Me.” Both really helped me spiritually. Right now there are so many unknowns in life.
We don’t know when Anthony will get paid again. We don’t know when the kids will go back to school. We don’t know if Marissa will get to have a graduation. We don’t know if we’ll be able to sell our house.
There are so many things we simply cannot control.
But what I do know is that Heavenly Father loves us and wants what is best for us. I know that if I continue to have faith in Him, somehow things will work out the way they are supposed to.
