Sorry I never wrote anything about my doctor’s appointment… honestly, there really wasn’t much to write about. I filled out a bunch of paperwork and signed up for a blood study, so at each appointment I’ll donate about two teaspoons of blood. I swear they already took a TON of blood for all the lab tests. So far everything has come back normal, which is what I expected.
Did you know that in the state of California you HAVE to do an HIV and Chlamydia test during pregnancy? It’s something I have to pay for too, even though I already know both are going to come back negative. It annoys me just a little, but I guess it’s better safe than sorry on their end.
My next doctor’s appointment is a week from Tuesday. They’ll do an ultrasound and confirm the due date and everything. Right now it’s looking like April 4th, which actually makes me happy. It will be fun to have a little baby around Easter time.
Other things that have happened this week…
Ava had her first sleepover at her best friend’s house. This little girl is honestly my favorite of all of Ava’s friends. She is sweet, thoughtful, and caring.
We’ve had lots of swimming at the pool, both with and without friends. I worked at the school all day on Tuesday from 6:45–12, then again from 4–8. Then I got talked into having two girls spend the night at my house… so things have been a little chaotic.
My house is so DIRTY right now. Today I spent all morning mopping, doing laundry, and even cleaning out the fridge. There is a smell in my house that is making me sick and I just can’t figure out where it’s coming from. Once the kids go back to school, I’m going to go room by room and deep clean everything.
Anthony’s work has been super slow, which is stressful. There’s a house in my old neighborhood that we’ve been pre-approved for, but we can’t make an offer because we don’t know when the next big job will come in. At this point, we have to hold onto our money just in case things stay slow for a while.
Buying a house will happen when it’s supposed to happen, I guess. But we are definitely growing out of this house fast. We already have three kids in each room, and I honestly don’t know how we could add another baby into this house… but then again, never say never. If we have to make it work, we will.
